'just because you can't do it all, doesn't mean you should do nothing'
about me
Everyone has a story. Their own perspective. A personal window on life to be expressed in a way no one else ever could.
Your story, told through words, crafts, music, dance, photography (or anything else) is unique.
Whether you are a stay at home mom, a lawyer, or even bound to a hospital bed. . . No one can tell it the way you can. Simply because You are You and there is only (and ever will be) one of you.
I have found out these past years, that I express myself the best through photography. I always had an interest in pictures of any sort. Snapshots or artful images. I love to look at pictures (other peoples everyday snapshots are the best). I always looked at things in a "hmm, that would be an interesting photograph"- type of way. I only never did anything about it. Until just after I had my son Micah. I found that I needed even more a way to express myself.- Because I felt depressed and inadequet. And I got scared. -And I can´t express myself enough in words. I mentioned to my husband (who is great with the camera) about my interest in photography and he encouraged me to just do it. "But, EVERYone does photography these days, why should I start?"I asked. Josh´s respond was " because. it makes you HAPPY!"
Oh, he is SO right. So I´m sticking with my hobby! And I´m might not even be that good in your eyes, but it is my way of expressing myself. Of relaxing and discovering those small everyday things and details that really makes life! I´m finding myself a way to tell my story.
I created this blog to have a place to gather my "pictures of life". And to write a little. Sort of like a journal of life's journey. AND to document My sons progress for family near and far interested.
I am Dana. I live in Sweden with my 3 year old boy Micah and my American husband. I Love my little family. We are a great team.
I Love my Lord Jesus. I have known him since I was little. Or, He has known me. . I´m still trying and struggling to get to know Him.
.
Please stick with me on this blog if you are interested to get to know me more. I would love to hear your story too!!
These lyrics has helped me to sometimes overcoming my fears of being myself
Free - song By Ginny Owens
Turnin' molehills into mountains
Makin' big deals out of small ones
Bearing gifts as if they're burdens
This is how it's been
Afraid of coming out of my shell
Too many things I can't do too well
Afraid I'll try real hard
And I'll fail
This is how it's been
Till the day You pounded on my heart's door
And You shouted joyfully
You're not a slave anymore!
You're free to dance
Forget about your two left feet
And you're free to sing
Even joyful noise is music to Me
You're free to love
'Cause I've given you My love
And it's made you free
I have set you free!
My mind finds hard to believe
That You became humanity and
Changed the course of history
Because You loved us so
And my heart cannot understand
How You accept me as I am
But You say You've always had a plan
And that's all I need to know
So when I am consumed
With what the world will say
Then You're singing to me, as You remove
my chains
Free from worry
Free from envy and denial
Free to live, free to give, free to smile
