breakfast habbits 09/09/2011
 One of my worries with Micah, is that he is not a good eater. He used to be, up until he was about a year and a half. Then it changed. He simply can´t seem to wind down enough to sit down and eat. There are constant battles about the meals. And breakfast.. No. I guess some people just cannot eat in the mornings. Josh for example. But I do not know what that feels like. The minute I wake up, I think : Breakfast! Coffee! yaay! ;) But once in awhile, he actually eats a healthy Breakfast. Like veggies. Haha. He loves having a plate of cucumber, tomatoes, bell peppers and other goodies. And that comforts me a bit. Atleast he gets his veggies that way ;) 2 Comments click here 06/18/2011
 Micah is used to seeing me with my camera on a daily basis. Til now, he has ignored me, not thinking twice about it. ( this was especially good last christmas, when there where always , always three cameras always clicking on something ( Josh , me and his auntie Amos). Now, however, he has discovered that there actually is an image showing up on the display once one clicked. So, he started to ask me to "click" on him. He points at different things, and different places on himself, and says " click here"! and he love love loves to see himself appear on the display ! Boxed 05/03/2011
I cannot believe how it can go from around 71 degrees to about 31 in less than five days! After a looong winter, it seems like Sweden skipped spring and went right into summer. It was wonderful!!! Til now. Today, it was snowing and hailing, and again, I´m back to freezing my butt off! I would have to call this global warming thing, "global cooling" instead. I was thankful that I had not yet stowed away all our winter clothes! I have been meaning to do so for the last couple of weeks, but didn´t get around to it yet. Today, Micah however, found another great use for them ! :)  I´m linking up to Communal Global again this week!  Easter... Eggs, chickens, bunnys, candy, food...It all means nothing to me compared to the biggest celebration of them all! - the one of Christ´s death and ressurection. But gathering together around all of these traditions, are a great way to celebrate with family and friends. (if not the true meaning is lost). So here, we are preparing for easter both in our spirits, and the traditional decorating. Above, is the most beautiful decoration I have ever had! The other day, Micah stole my mothers glasses. I thought I was obligated to share these happy pictures of mr.goofy. Another thing I have to share is that this morning I overheard Micah and Josh as they where about to leave for preschool... Micah - " I have a little fever" Josh - "No, i think you are just making that up" Micah - " mmm..Just poop" ( he was making that one up too ) ( Micah, Please understand when you are older, that these things are nothing but cute! -When you´re a twoyearold that is.  ...well, I guess nothing much really than ordinary everyday life. which is, if you think about it,- everyday extraordinary. (enough being deep now Dana) Spring is sloooowly entering sweden. Even when the temperatures were in the 30:ies the other day, the sun was warm, and the birds where twittering, and people came out from there houses and pretended it was spring! So did I. The sun was hitting our balcony , so it was warm enough that I cleaned the windows out there. And i took down all the junk to the basement. ( I had to quickly shut the storage door behind me, so all the junk that was already there, plus what I added, wouldn´t fall over me). Micah helped me clean a little bit :) It´s supposed to snow again before the warmer weather hits us. But who cares when the flowers are slowly fighting their way up and I can finally see a tiiiny bit of color outside, And we swithed over to summertime, and we biked together to the store ( Josh bought a bike finally. yay). So a little snow means nothing :) I could finally afford a study bible, so I went a bought it today. Now, I better read it too! I never thought I would go deeper in to the old testament., But i find now, that it has alot to say, is interesting ,and that it all belongs together. (yay for me. Now I´ve discoverd this) Micah is getting so big that I can hardly understand it myself. he speaks almost fluently, we have lots of interesting conversations. He is so tall, we have to get him new pants again!! It´s amazing how he turned in to a little kid instead of a baby. Wow! So here are some pictures of my big boy now :) for those of you who cares..  This is my son. He likes numbers... Ok ok, You might think I´m bragging alot about Micah, but, am I not supposed to? hehe., For some time now he has been absolutely loving a counting show on TV. (swedes, it´s "räkna med skägg"). The intro to that show goes something like "bababababababababa maow", and so, when He sees a number he says it´s a "babamaow". And that is what he likes to draw. But recently he actually asked Josh to draw an eight. And he was so excited to see it on that piece of paper :) Also, he surprised us by counting to 9 all by himself! (he did not get that geniousness from me I can assure you) HA! But surely, I am awfully proud of him. enough bragging huh? Josh had a headache the other day, and he wore sunglasses because the light hurt his eyes. Needless to say, Micah needed some too ...  And finally, to brag some more. , this time about my husband, This is what he gave me for valentines day! A willow Tree figureine, and flowers. Plus a note that will remain private, but it did make my eyes water a bit.. All I gave him was some candy and a blogpost. But, like he said himself..."It is not a competition"! - That wouldn´t be very romantic would it!?  he likes...no, LOVES the water! 01/28/2011
 This is my son. He is now a fish! He is like, "a fish in the water" when he is in the water! Bath time always starts with screaming. "No! I don´t want to!". I say ok, "no swimming then?" Then, he goes to the bath tub. ( It is all about opposites nowadays). Sometimes he throws a tantrum when he is in there. First time, I had no idea why. He wanted to be in there, but something was wrong. "No! Other water" What could that mean? To hot? to cold? -"No, RAIN!" -Oh! the shower! ok... But mostly, he lays flat on his back just relaxing. Sighing, like when you are really really comfortable you know!?. I had to start draining the water , or he would just have his little nose sticking up. Micah loves to draw! The other day, they showed me pictures at preeschool that he made. I asked him what they where. two of them where raisins and the third was ketchup! Simple as that! Then we where drawing at home yesterday and I had talked alot that afternoon about going on an airplane to go see nana and auntie Amos, and to meet grampa for the first time. Then he couldn´t stop talking about "Bampa". So he drew him.  bampa  balloon   the artist And to end this post, I´ll show off our lovely Jack-o-lanterns we made today! It is 8.30 pm, and I have been trying various different things to keep myself up for a bit longer. See, I can´t just go to bed at 6.30 , because then I´ll ruin my sleepruotine. Which is fine sometimes when it´s really really necessary. But not usually. So I´m doing some blogging then! :) I got myself a pretty cheap crosstrainer last week. I LOVE it!! We do walk and bike alot around here (although I might be one of those that rather takes the bus) but still, I am not in very good shape! We have a lovely walking path running through the forest behind our building, and yes I used to try and excercise by walking there with Micah when he was a baby. But, walking just for the walking itself is not for me. My feet and hips hurt, and it is not just because I´m not in shape. (I promise) . But however, the crosstrainer is wonderful! No sore feet or hips or anything! And I can do it whenever! And I get to do something else than I already do when I need to go places! Yay for that purchase! The Crosstrainer came in a big box that Josh turned in to a house for Micah! He loves it. He plays store in it, and he sells his cars through the little window. He takes "5 kronor" for everything, but he wants it back right away ;) So the crosstrainer is a win for both of us!  'How can I help you today?'  got to love that face! |  MeHi, I'm Dana.
